No, steel rusts. Titanium is strong, but has it’s drawbacks. It cannot be resized, so you will have to buy a new ring for your fiance if she gains or loses any weight during the course of your marriage. If dropped the wrong way, it can also shatter. Warranties will not cover either.
It’s usually best for guys to go with 10K yellow gold, which is really strong and resists abuse.
Tungsten Carbide – fabulous choice if you want the ring to symbolize a lasting commitment, durability and the idea that it is a very modern metal made with the strength to fulfill the needs of our modern world.
below is my blurb about titanium
“There are many things to say about wedding bands, their unending circular nature has always spoken of perfection, balance, eternity, and symmetry. Yet ___’s band adds a new aspect to the old metaphors for his band is made of titanium. This is by no means a rare metal, just as love is often fleeting in today’s world, but what gives it it‘s beauty and value as the strongest, lightest, and least burdensome metal that we have is the time and effort, the care and the love that is put into it by a real human being.”
Try Tungsten it’s scratch resistant and break proof.. looks very nice like steel or titanium
Steel and Titanium are wonderful choices! I bought my husband a beautiful titanium wedding band because he really liked the cut and durability of the band. I find that the bands are really made well for men and they don’t seem to be so delicate like other wedding bands (not that there is anything wrong with that).
I would suggest getting one if you are really attracted to that metal.
Good luck!
I would suggest Titanium. I believe that steel will rust, but titanium will look good for years to come.
Best of luck.
that would be fine if that is what he wants
It would be better to go with titanium and it is a sturdier metal. While we’ve been shopping for rings, we’ve found some beautiful ones in titanium. Congrats.
Because my daughter has bad allergies, she and her husband opted for stainless surgical steel rings. They are beautiful and, as far as I know, are tarnish and rust proof. Keep in mind that, like titanium, they are difficult to resize.
